new media • marketing • public relations

Meet Lisa Diomede,
founder and principal of Plum Ideas.

The convergence of marketing and public relations and the emergence of new media has led to some great ideas – Plum Ideas, if you will – about the best ways to connect on a meaningful, authentic level with the people who care (or should care) about what you do.

Plum Ideas has grown out of this evolution. In fact, we say that we provide “new media, marketing and public relations” just to help people get their heads around what we bring to the table.

In reality, we’re about bridging traditional strategies and new opportunities – using whatever channels and approaches that will make your mission and message resonate with your audiences.

After nearly 20 years in marketing, advertising and public relations, Lisa decided to write her own story, founding Plum Ideas to help clients enter into genuine, transparent conversations with their audiences. She has developed strong, long-term relationships with tremendously talented designers, content providers, subject matter experts, technology geeks, researchers and more, to bring together a distinct, well-suited team for every engagement.

On both the agency and client sides, Lisa has worked with a wide range of B2C, B2B and non-profit clients and developed communications strategies and content for every type of traditional and new media. Working in healthcare, publishing, education, technology and entertainment industries has taught her one thing – it doesn’t matter how well you understand the product or service if you don’t understand the person you’re trying to engage.

Lisa’s long list of blue-chip account experience includes (in no particular order) Sun Microsystems, DuPont Textiles and Interiors, Cleveland Clinic, IBM, Treepodia, Marketwire/Sysomos, Northwestern University/Pediatric Oncology Group, Mead Johnson, American Greetings, John Hancock Center, Chicago’s Navy Pier and many more.

In addition to being a mother of three young boys and a neat freak, Lisa is also your best source for Chicago restaurant and entertainment recommendations. She can also throw a football better than most men. Care to issue a challenge? Call us now.
